Caring for Children, Benefiting Communities
Our Mission
To improve the lives of the vulnerable in Cambodia by providing training and consulting on financial management and community and family development.
Our Mission
Our Work
-
We focus on economic empowerment through financial inclusion, using education and mindset change to equip and empower disadvantaged families and children in Cambodia. By promoting financial literacy and confidence, KPY aligns with national initiatives to improve access to finance for the poor and help families take charge of their own future.
-
We partner with local Departments of Agriculture to train and support model farmers in our target communities, who then demonstrate these methods to others, with the aim of raising up families and maximizing their income potential. In the next phase, KPY seeks to partner with other organizations to address deeper structural and systemic economic barriers through broader integrated responses.
-
We recognize that poverty's impact on Cambodian families affects children the most. Lack of access to education, poor health due to environmental degradation, and poverty create a barrier for them to escape their circumstances. Therefore, KPY prioritizes child education and protection, working in partnership with schools and educational authorities to create a safe and child-friendly environment and promote financial literacy through its customized student curriculum.
-
Our approach to addressing poverty in Cambodian families also involves tackling environmental degradation and poor health due to inadequate sanitation and hygiene facilities. KPY works with local partners and authorities to promote healthy behaviors and practices among children and families, including installing handwashing stations at schools and creating environmental awareness among students.
